Costa Rica sees boost in coffee production

Costa Rica's coffee production for the 2014-2015 harvest will be 7.2 percent higher than the previous season, according to the country's coffee institute, Icafé.

The current harvest is expected to yield 2.1 million quintals, compared with the 1.9 million from the previous year.

Better use of fertilizers and measures against coffee rust fungus are among the reasons why Icafé says production will improve.
