Costa Rica under pressure over courts' defense of wage perks

Wednesday, October 17, 2018

If Costa Rica's legislators remove all the salary perks from the fiscal reform, the nation's courts are likely to approve the new taxes being promoted by the government of Carlos Alvarado.

What that means puts the new taxes on a razor's edge because to is not clear whether most of the parties are prepared to approve new taxes without the proposed perks.

If that does happen, the people and companies would end up paying more taxes without receiving anything in exchange.
