Costa Rica welcomes its millionth US tourist this year

A surprise welcome awaited Joel and Kristine Kratochvil and their three daughters at Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaría Airport on Friday.

One of the members of this Washington state family is the millionth tourist to arrive from the United States in 2015. This is the first time that more than one million U.S. tourists have arrived in Costa Rica in a single year.
