Costa Rican bank lending surges by 16%

Costa Rican banks increased their lending by 16 percent in the first quarter, by comparison with the same period of last year.

Most of the growth in lending was for services, commerce and housing.

The banks hope to conclude the year with an overall increase of 20 percent in lending.
