Costa Rican coffee shipments up 7 percent

Costa Rica's coffee exports during the 2015/16 harvesting season totaled 1.24 million 60 kilo bags, up 7 percent compared with the previous cycle, the country's national coffee institute Icafe said.

Coffee exports during the previous 2014/15 season reached 1.16 mln bags. Shipments in September, the last month of the season, were up 31.2 percent at 49,679 bags compared with the same month last year.
