Costa Rican companies boost online advertising

Costa Rican companies are boosting their online advertising budgets, but the amounts are much less than spending on traditional media.

Companies that have found Internet to be particularly attractive are automobile agencies, fast food, English classes, tourism and banking services.

Online amounts to about 4 percent of Costa Rica's total ad spend, mainly using Google, YouTube, Facebook and Yahoo.
