Costa Rican firms seek to attract more senior citizens

Costa Rican businesses have started to increase efforts in offering services and products to local and foreign senior citizens, Costa Rican daily La República reported.
Real estate and medical tourism are the sectors which have boosted their efforts in attracting a 250,000-strong market with significant purchasing power.
Costa Rica's Verdeza es the first real estate project in the region focusing exclusively in that segment, while Hospital Cima reports an 8 percent increase in visits from senior citizens, mainly due to its international certification and multi-lingual staff.
