Costa Rican leaders reject future ban on oil drilling

Costa Rican business leaders are criticizing President Carlos Alvarado’s plans to forbid any future plans for the exploration and production of oil and gas.

They say that dependence on the use of hydrocarbons is are to continue for the short and medium term.

As a result, it would be wrong, they say, to forbid exploitation of energy resources by future generations.
