Costa Rican milk 'war' is being allowed to simmer quietly

The arrival of a new competitor in the dairy industry can be expected to favor consumers. But the evolution of the Costa Rican market will take time because of the dominant position of Dos Pinos.

The sole contender is Mexico's Grupo Lala, which last month sealed its acquisition of Mú!, the milk brand of Florida Ice & Farm Company (Fifco), La República reports in Spanish.
