US-based Radiation Therapy Services International acquired Costa Rica's Centro Médico de Radioterapia Irazú for $3 million.
The new owners, under the 21st Century Oncology brand, have already invested $250,000 in new equipment and technology.
The center hopes that its new investments will make it a reference point for radiotherapy in Central America.
