Costa Rican state telecom challenges Alcatel deal with US

The Costa Rican state telecommunications company, ICE, is challenging an accord between Alcatel-Lucent and the US government to settle bribery charges.
The deal announced last year calls for Paris-based Alcatel to pay a combined $137 million to settle the case.
ICE wants the deal thrown out as too lenient. A Miami federal judge is holding a hearing in the case tomorrow.
