Court dismisses lawsuit on Dole Food brought by Nicaraguan banana workers

Dole Food said that the Los Angeles Superior Court has dismissed a lawsuit brought by Nicaraguans claiming to have been banana workers on Dole-contracted farms in Nicaragua during the 1970s.

In its final order, the Court formally vacated an earlier judgment and dismissed with prejudice the lawsuit.

The Court dismissed the lawsuit after finding "upon clear and convincing evidence” that the 2008 judgment was the product of a fraud.
