Curtain closes on soap opera of Trump hotel in Panama

What was originally known in Panama as the Trump Ocean Club and is currently styled the Bahia Grand, has been sold to Marriott International and will be known from September as the JW Marriott.

The Trump Ocean Club opened its doors in 2011 but soon became involved in an ownership wrangle with Ithaca Capital of Orestes Fintiklis, the Cypriot tycoon.

Ithaca won, though not without a struggle, and yesterday it signed the purchase by Marriott.
