Czech Republic’s Mavel wins new contracts for hydroelectric plants in Panama

Mavel Americas, a subsidiary of Czech Republic-based Mavel, has been awarded contracts for work on two hydro schemes located in the Chiriqui province of Panama. The company will supply equipment for the Las Perlas Norte and Las Perlas Sur run-of-river projects. Each project will utilize two Mavel turbines type and have total installed power of 10 megawatts. 

These are the second and third power plants in a cascade of hydroelectric power plants developed on the Piedra River utilizing Mavel turbines.
