Despite $2.9 billion of investment in tourism, Panama is still crying up for skilled staff

Tourism has become one of the mainstays of Panama’s economy, drawing in $2.9 billion in the last five years.

But the Achilles tendon of the industry is skilled labor that can handle the volume of visitors.

Shortages are at all levels, from managers and chefs to maintenance personnel and chamber maids.
