Despite the referendum 'No', Santos awarded Nobel Prize

Norway’s Nobel committee has awarded the Peace Prize to Juan Manuel Santos, the Colombian president for his efforts to secure a peace pact with the FARC rebels.

Santos showed immense fortitude to pursue an accord to resolve Latin America’s longest-lasting conflict which endured for more than half a century, the committee added.
