Dominican Republic-Panama trade grows

The Dominican Republic's exports to Panama grew 18 percent last year, according to the Caribbean country's Trade Ministry.

Panama's main imports from the island are light oils, medicine, tobacco and plastics.

The Dominican Republic has gradually narrowed its trade deficit with Panama, reporting a 51 percent reduction last year.
