Doubts arise over Nicaragua Canal

The president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, seems to be having doubts about the viability of plans tok create a rival in his country to the Panama Canal.

Ortega has asked Taiwan to help in construction of a deep-water port of Nicaragua’s Caribbean coast at a point where the canal is supposed to emerge.
