Drones lend a helping hand to El Salvador farms

Thursday, December 27, 2018

Drones are moving into El Salvador's farm sector, mainly in operations of crop monitoring and the application of fertilizers.

Drontek is a pioneer of the use of drones for such purposes in the country. General manager Rodrigo López says the drones have raised productivity by about 15 percent.

Unites of Drontek have worked with producers of rice, corn, okra, cocoa and sugar cane, López said.
