Ecopetrol issues bonds worth $1.2 billion

Colombia's state oil firm Ecopetrol issued bonds worth $1.2 billion in the international markets.

During the round, investors demanded bonds for nearly $3 billion.

The bonds were issued with a 4.24 percent interest rate and are due in 10 years.
