Ecuador's high-tech Banisi opens in Panama

Ecuadorian bank Banisi started to operate in Panama yesterday.

The bank will specialize in personal and consumer loans in Panama, and has assets worth $150 million.

Banisi will make use of technology to ease transactions for customers, such as accepting check deposits by showing a picture taken with a smartphone.
