El Salvador aims at North American tourism

El Salvador's Ministry for Tourism will organize an event aimed at attracting visitors from North America.

The event, called "El Salvador Travel Market 2013", will be held from September 6 to 8, and will gather 50 tour operators from the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

North America accounts for 40 percent of the total visitors which El Salvador receives each year, according to data from the Ministry.
