El Salvador and Honduras lead in coffee exports

Coffee exports from nine countries in Latin America climbed 17 percent in March to 3.1 million bags from 2.65 million a year earlier.

Exports from El Salvador climbed 53 percent to 245,886 bags and shipments from Honduras increased 33 percent to 721,356 bags.

However, exports from Costa Rica, Guatemala and Nicaragua declined year on year.
