El Salvador and Venezuela to boost trade

El Salvador and Venezuela are in talks to re-negotiate a partial scope agreement in order to boost bilateral trade.

The accord will include more than 850 Salvadoran products that would enter Venezuela with preferential tariffs, such as drinks, industrial products, and all kinds of garment and manufactured products, said Salvadoran Foreign Trade vice Minister, Luz Estrella Rodríguez.

Venezuela's exports to El Salvador reached $268 million last year, while El Salvador's exports to the South American country reached $12.8 million.
