El Salvador coffee exports up by 29 percent

Coffee exports from El Salvador were up 29 percent in March over the same month last year as plantations recovered from an outbreak of the destructive roya leaf fungus, the Salvadoran Coffee Council said.

Exports during the first six months of the 2016/17 harvest totaled 169,336 bags, up 3.3 percent from the same period in the previous cycle.
