El Salvador election shows neck-and-neck result

El Salvador's Supreme Electoral Tribunal has released preliminary results from the country’s legislative elections that took place earlier this month, showing a tightly contested race between the country’s two main political parties.

With 75 percent of the votes counted, the right-wing Arena party holds a 0.03 percent advantage over the ruling Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front.
