El Salvador mulls entering SUCRE system

El Salvador is studying the possibility of entering the SUCRE payment system, part of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America, known as ALBA, a Venezuela-led regional organization.
The Central American nation is not currently a member of ALBA, but will analyze entering the payment system, as it could offer incentives to its exports, Salvadoran vice minister for Foreign Trade, Luz Estrella Rodríguez.
The current members of ALBA are Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Venezuela.
