El Salvador ready to receive tenders for La Unión

El Salvador's port authority opened yesterday the pre-qualifying process for companies interested in tender for La Unión port.

The authority said it sent an invitation to 34 global companies, of which 24 confirmed they were interested.

However, the pre-qualifying process serves to measure the level of interest in the project, after which the official tender will be carried out, said the authority's president, Alberto Arene.
