El Salvador receives 7.9 percent increase in remittances from emigrants

Remittances sent by emigrants from El Salvador amounted to $545 million in the first two months of this year, a 7.9 percent increase on the same period of last year.
In February, the emigrants sent $286 million, an increase of $16.8 million year-on-year.
Unemployment in the United States has dropped during the last quarter.
