El Salvador renewables auction nets $10 million

El Salvador's 28 megawatt renewable energy power auction -- based on biogas and solar technology -- led to $10 million in offers from four bidders that came to a total of 6.85 MW.

There is a likelihood, however, if two more offers are accepted if their prices can be adjusted.

The bids were opened by government departments and, by Delsur, as representative off the power distributor, La Prensa Gráfica reports in Spanish.
