El Salvador’s coffee exports surge by 82.5 percent in December on production boost

El Salvador’s coffee exports surged by 82.5 percent in December compared with the same month in the last crop cycle.

The country exported 139,069 bags of 60 kilos each in December, comapred with 76,197 bags in the last month of 2009.

So far, total exports in the current cycle, from October to December, rose by 49.3 percent to 164,614 bags.
