El Salvador's construction faces red numbers

El Salvador's construction sector is expected to end the year with zero or negative growth, according to Carlos José Guerrero, President of the country's construction chamber.

From January to August this year, the sector showed negative growth of -1.9 percent compared to the same period last year, but Guerrero said it may be possible to end the year with zero percent.

The main issues the sector faces is a lack of incentives and low trust amongst investors.
