El Salvador’s environment ministry seeks $79 million water management program

El Salvador's environment and natural resources ministry has presented its objectives for 2011, which include launching an integrated water management program.

The $79 million program will be funded by the Spanish government's cooperation and development agency and includes three main initiatives.

The first project aims to improve the planning and management of water resources and potable water and waste infrastructure in urban and suburban areas, and will cost $29.1 million.
