El Salvador's exports dropped 7.3 percent in the first five months of the year, compared with the same period last year, the country's central bank said.
The figure represents exports worth $2.19 billion from January to May.
If the numbers continue to drop, the country's economy would grow less than 2 percent this year, said analyst Rigoberto Monge.
