El Salvador's Grupo Calleja aims to add Europa chain to Súper Selectos supermarkets

El Salvador's Grupo Calleja confirmed that its expansion plans for 2012 include the acquisition of the Europa supermarkets chain.

A Calleja spokesowman, which owns the Súper Selectos supermarkets, said that "evaluation" of the plan includes the previously announced $40 million that it aims to invest over the coming two years.

"We're simply exploring the possibility. There's nothing set in concrete," she added.
