El Salvador's Millennium Fund attracts major hotels

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Two major hotel chains say they have plans to build four hotels on the coast of El Salvador, prompted by the improvements in infrastructure created by Fomilenio II, the second stage of the second stage of the Millennium Fund program.

The announcement was made by the president, Mauricio Funes, in Chalatenango.

The Royal Decameron group said it aims to build a hotel on the beach at La Unión. A Hard Rock hotel is to be built in San Salvador and Spain's Grupo Barceló has pledged to build two beach hotels.
