El Salvador’s oil bill in the first quarter grew by 40 percent year on year

El Salvador’s oil imports rose by 40 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period of last year.

The bill from January through March came to $458 million.

If this trend continues, the annual bill is likely to come to $1.8 billion.
