El Salvador's trade with Mexico boosted after accord

Thursday, September 12, 2013

Bilateral trade between El Salvador and Mexico has grown after both nations signed a free trade accord in 2012.

El Salvador's Ministry for Economy said that in 2001, El Salvador exported goods worth $14 million to Mexico, while last year the number was up to $80 million.

However, the trade deficit is in favor of Mexico, who exports to El Salvador an average of $697 million each year.
