El Salvador seeks to boost customs

El Salvador's Customs Authority will implement a pilot version of the Authorized Economic Operator program this year.

The project certifies trustworthy companies for them to benefit from more safety, control and ease of transport through the borders of participating countries.

The program is currently active in nine countries in the continent, including Mexico, Peru and Canada.
