El Salvador seen growing more than 2 percent

The economy of El Salvador is expected to grow more than 2 percent this year, according to government figures.

The figure is based on the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean's, ECLAC, forecast for the country of 2.2 percent.

Among the factors that would contribute to the Central American country's growth this year is $277 million in financing from the U.S. government, and the awarding of the concession of La Unión port.
