El Salvador takes lead with photovoltaic solar plant
The government of El Salvador is gearing up to build a 14 megawatt photovoltaic solar plant with financial help from German state bank KfW.
It is expected to be the largest system of its kind, when it is completed in 2014.
The investment for the project is $51 million, including investments from Salvadoran development bank Bandesal and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration.
