El Salvador to remove 6 percent export incentive
Wednesday, December 8, 2010
The government of El Salvador presented the Congress with a bill to remove the 6 percent incentive on exports.
El Salvador has promised the World Trade Organization to remove what it regards as a subsidy.
The incentive dates from 1990. El Salvador’s trading partners, especially the Dominican Republic, have complained that it is unfair.
