Enel wins saga over joint venture with El Salvador

A verdict by the International Chamber of Commerce will be a severe test for public-private partnerships involving the government of El Salvador.
The state-owned electricity company, Cel, has had to accept that its Italian partner, Enel, will have a majority stake in their geothermal joint venture LaGeo.
The chamber’s decision concludes a decade-long dispute between Cel and Enel over who controls LaGeo.
