Energy costs affect competition in Costa Rica

The Costa Rican private sector has urged the government to make changes in order to make the economy more dynamic, Costa Rican newspaper La República reported.

Business leaders have asked for an electricity contingency law, aiming to cut down energy costs to improve competition.

Every day, $1 million is spent on fuels to generate electricity in Costa Rica.
