Eurobonds concern for exporters from Costa Rica

Costa Rica's plans to authorize public debt will add to downward pressure on the US dollar in the coming months.

Sectors that depend on the dollar fear that Eurobonds will affect their ability to compete because production costs in Costa Rica will rise by revaluation of the colon.

However, the positive impact of the measure would be a drop in colon interest rates, thus reducing the cost of credit.
