Executive salaries in Panama rise by 8.3 percent in a year

Panamanian companies are raising the salaries of their executives so as to avoid poaching of personnel by multinationals.

A KPMG annual survey of 74 companies raised the salaries of their executives by 8.3 percent last year.

The earnings of senior executives in multinationals amounted to 4.3 percent more than those of their counterparts in Panama-owned companies.
