Experts urge Costa Rica to create energy strategy

Costa Rican electricity prices have doubled over the last five years, while in other countries in the region energy prices have gone down, Costa Rican daily La República reported.
Experts say prices will continue to go up and the country risks losing investment if the government fails to take action and revert the situation
Among the measures proposed are developing more renewable energy, create a law to give the electricity sector a key role in the economy, and modify the process through which energy projects are financed.
