FAO proposes region to boost family farming

The United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization, FAO, organized a summit in Panama where the region's authorities analyzed a proposal to include family farming into the region's supply chains.

The event is expected to generate solutions and specific ideas to boost family farming through public policies.

FAO has been introducing this idea, called Agro-logistics in Central America, since 2011 in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
