Fears of violence cause drop in Guatemala tourism

The number of American tourists who visit Guatemala has dropped 7 percent, according to figures from Guatemala's tourism authority, known as Inguat.
The drop is largely due to drug cartel violence scaring tourists away, said Silvia King, market research director at Inguat.
Despite this, the number of tourists from Central America, Mexico, Canada, Australia and China grew.
