Fears that Costa Rican hotel supply will exceed demand

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

While the Costa Rican Chamber of Hotels reports low occupancy rates, new developments are growing rapidly in the Central Valley.

The construction of the convention center in San José has caused a surge in hotel construction. The current capacity in San Jose is 5,000 rooms and the new developments represent approximately 800 more rooms.
